BSc Business and Management (hons)
Giles is a recent First-class (1st) Business and Management graduate from the University of Sussex and part-time Rockstar. Originally from a small village in the Dorset countryside, Giles moved to Brighton to experience its vibrant city life and great music scene.
While at Sussex Giles was keen to get involved with all aspects of University life, working with the Business school as a Student Ambassador, Student Mentor and volunteering as a Student Rep. During the third year of his degree Giles also completed a placement year working with Hewlett-Packard Enterprise as a Sales Support Intern in the Consulting business unit where his role involved managing CRM, booking sales orders and reporting on sales figures. Before joining the Catalyst team Giles also worked as a Business Development Intern for Simplex Services, a technology consultancy firm who are also members of the Innovation Centre.
Outside of work Giles is a keen musician and is also known as the bass player in the alternative rock band ‘Tundra Love’. As well as the bass guitar, Giles also enjoys playing the electric guitar, harmonica and piano. In addition to music, he is an also football enthusiast and a big fan of Arsenal Football Club.
With a strong interest in entrepreneurship and aspirations of one day starting his own business, Giles is eager to work with multiple SMEs and help to resolve their business problems, learning and developing the skills needed to one day accomplish this feat in the process. He hopes to get involved in anyway he can and help contribute to the success of the Catalyst Team as much as possible.
